Thomas grew up sailing on his Dad’s 50-foot Beneteau where he developed a love for sailing and learned the basics of boating. When he started attending the Stony Brook School in the fall of 2013, he joined the sailing team where he sailed 420’s. From there his sailing career took off. He improved his sailing skills enough to make the Varsity team and help lead his team to victory. Recently, Thomas has been branching off to many different types of boats with the goal of improving his skills as he works towards a college sailing career. Thomas enjoys working with kids; he has a Level 1 dinghy instructor certification and plans to work as a coach in the summer and works as a ski instructor in the winter. When he’s not sailing, Thomas likes to go skiing through the glades and work with his dad on projects that involve woodworking.
