Support Us

Donate and become a Supporter

Supporters are crucial to the success of our programs. Become one and you are invited to race and train alongside the sailors you help sponsor. For a yearly donation, you can join us for Supporter Sails Friday and Saturday afternoons from 12-5 on nearly any boat in our fleet – Lasers, Sunfish, Match 40s, Paddleboard, Sheilds, or the Classics. Become a family supporter and bring the whole gang, or get your match racing team together to join Saturday drills (every Saturday before our Grade 5 events). Our tax-deductible donation will bring you closer to the water and help change the lives of the athletes at Oakcliff. Visit our donate page for more details on the various levels of support.

We also accept donations of boats and equipment. Contact us if you’re looking to offload some goods.

Volunteer

With over 100 boats and upwards of 50 events a year, we rely heavily on volunteers to organize, facilitate, and maintain our events and boats throughout the year. If you have experience in race management, consider joining our crack team of race officers (contact Patrick). If you are keen to lend a hand in another area (boat maintenance, event organization, etc.) let us know and we’ll certainly find a place for you.

SUPPORTER Programs

With vaccinations on the rise, our Supporter programs are beginning to look more and more like they were pre-COVID; however, some of the new programs we started during COVID are continuing. From the feedback we’ve gotten, the Supporter package is better than ever but we want to clarify what’s available and how to sign up.

Wednesday Night Fleet Racing | 5:30pm
Sign up as an individual and be placed on a team in the Match 40s to race on the Sagamore Yacht Club course. Sign up or cancel no later than 3pm the day of.

Friday & Saturday Open Sails | 12-5pm

We are continuing to learn our new event management system, NeonCRM, so please bear with us as we revise our sign up process to make it as easy as possible for you.

Offshore Sailing on Farr 40s
For Supporters interested in Offshore, we have a pathway to evaluate your skill and ease you into the distance racing experience. First you must sail in the Spring or Fall American Yacht Club Race Series with the Oakcliff team on the Farr 40s. Then you do one of the three overnight races: Around Block Island, Ida Lewis, or the Vineyard Race. After that, based on your skill level, you will be eligible for one of the three ocean races: Newport to Bermuda, Annapolis to Newport, or Marblehead to Halifax.

You can sign up for all of these events on our online calendar. If you have any questions, feel free to email Francis at development@oakcliffsailing.org
