Sirine Benali

Sirine Benali

Sirine is a 15 year old sailor from Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA. She was originally born in Paris, France but moved to the United States when she was 3 years old. She has been residing in Manchester for the past 12 years and enjoys the Northeastern climate. Living so close to the ocean, it was just natural that she would start sailing, so she started sailing Optis at 8, and racing them at 10. After three years of competing in Optis, she then graduated to 420s. She is excited to start her third year of racing 420s, and next spring, she will continue racing with her varsity high school team. When she is not sailing, she loves to spend time with friends or going to the beach. In school she is really interested in science and biology, however, her passion will always lay in sailing. With Oakcliff, she is hoping to gain more experience and to harness any opportunity that comes her way, and her goal for the Acorn Inshore program is to learn the skills to move into national international regattas.
