Owen Lahr

Owen grew up in a sailing family and started sailing when he was 10 years old. He began racing in the junior program at the Richmond Yacht Club in the San Francisco Bay sailing El Toros, Lasers, 29ers, J22s, and Moore 24s. His sailing career has taken him to the U.S triple handed championships where he finished in the top five. He's won several local regattas in the San Francisco Bay area in Lasers and big boats.

He has been match racing a lot recently as well and competed in the 2019 Youth Match Racing Championship for the Rose Cup. He hopes to continue match racing at higher levels and one day make it to the World Match Racing tour and other big events like the Congressional Cup.

In addition to sailing, he also loves to surf and will be attending the University of Hawaii next year so that will be a great opportunity to spend a lot of time on the ocean.
