Makalynne Dyer

Makalynne grew up sailing scows at summer camp in Minnesota. After falling in love with sailing and wanting to develop her skills, she started sailing in her home state of Colorado. With sailing being a scarce sport In Colorado she would drive four hours to and from practice. As sailing became more prominent in her life she expanded her knowledge by living aboard an 88ft scooner. For the second semester of her senior year she island hopped through the Caribbean learning a new skill set in the sport. Since graduating high school in 2017 she has been sailing for Old Dominion University.
