Madeleine grew up sailing in Kennebunk Maine. At age 7 she started sailing Optis at her local yacht club. After 4 years she started racing in lasers and 420s. Madeleine loves being on the water and tries to sail as much as possible. She currently lives in Washington DC where she is hoping to start sailing on the high school team and continue learning more about keel boats and match racing.
