Lindsey Winter

Lindsey Winter grew up in Northport, NY, a small sailing town on Long Island. From a young age she sailed with her family on their C&C 30 and learned about racing keel boats and sailing offshore. She joined the Northport Yacht Club Junior Sailing Program when she was eight and sailed Optis for 5 years and a Force-5 for two years while continuing to race keel boats. Her experience stretches to tallships participating in the Sisters Under Sail Program. Lindsey’s passion for sailing and variety has placed her aboard many boats including Catalina 38s, J-24s and an Impulse 21. The talented young sailor hopes to continue to gain more experience on as many different boats as Oakcliff can throw her and become overall a better sailor. Future goals are all encompassing: “to crew for as many races, inshore or offshore, as I can”.
