Josh Zeelander

2017 High Performance Acorn

Josh Zeelander started sailing Optis at age 7. He competed in the National Opti Circuit until the age of 12 when he started crewing on C420’s. After a year of that he hopped in an i420 and managed to qualify for the Youth Championships. He is now training at Oakcliff Sailing as one of their High Performance Acorns. He’s gotten to sail Olympic Class boats like the 49er, Nacra, and even foiling boats like the Waszp. He is having a lot of fun exploring the sailing world and can’t wait to see which exciting new opportunities open up as he pursues his passion. He’s also been playing guitar since he was 4 and now plays gigs up and down the Jersey Shore every summer.
