John Horton

John Horton, a resident of Newport Beach, California, started sailing in 2011. He began sailing sabots and later transitioned to lasers and FJs at Newport Harbor Yacht Club. In 2013, he was introduced to the skiff world and the 29er community. His love of skiffs made him apply for the Oakcliff High Performance Program. John also sails for Corona Del Mar High School during the school year. He always enjoys getting on the water and loves sailing in any conditions. John hopes to learn as much as he can about skiff sailing through Oakcliff and make the transition to 49ers.
