Chris Booher

Chris Booher grew up on a little island in Maine and picked up sailing in high school. From the moment he stepped into a dinghy he knew he wanted to pursue a career in sailing. Between Fall and Spring high school seasons you would have seen him in the boatyard tuning a classic L-16 racer that he skippered to many series victories. He then headed south and joined the St. Mary’s College of Maryland Offshore Team and their Varsity Dinghy Team. He found Oakcliff during his time with St. Mary’s Offshore, and after one waltz through the oak park he knew he had to stay. His first summer at Oakcliff saw him through his first graded match races, offshore events, and 49er training camps. He’s at Oakcliff for the second time, with more focus than ever, this time with the goal of building his skills in the high performance fleets.
