Cade Morris

2017 Offshore Acorn

Cade Morris hails from the Palos Verdes Peninsula, California. He is the captain of the Rolling Hills Prep high school varsity sailing team, and has competed in national regattas, the junior Olympics and several Pacific Coast Championship series. He started sailing Optis and has slowly progressed through Lasers, Fjs, 420s and now regularly races on a J111, Martin 242s and a Farr 40. For Cade, Oakcliff is a gateway towards a career in offshore racing and a life full of adventure.

He and his father, Chris, share a passion for sailing and they often race together on their Cal20. He hopes one day he can convince his dad to join him on a 420 and see how good he is on a trap.

When Cade is not on a boat, he likes to stay on or in the ocean. He loves to surf the many beautiful beaches that line the California coast line and scuba diving with the sharks and fishes right off of Catalina Island.
