Ariel Nechemia

2016 High Performance Acorn

Ariel is an American that grew up in Beijing, China. He started sailing at the age of 15, at a Naval boarding school in Florida. He quickly became an instructor and taught other cadets how to sail 420s and Lasers. He is currently starting his own high school team in New York and since racing high performance boats is his dream, he applied for the Oakcliff High Performance clinic. He sails as many boats as possible, and works on finding sponsorships to help him accomplish his sailing dreams. His current goal is to master the Moth. “I am still young and dumb enough to have a dream that skeptics say is impossible, but that and actual effort is what it takes, right?”.
