Day 2- 13:00
As I am down for another second full 4-hour “off watch” I begin to fall back into a familiar pattern. Get up-eat-put on foulies-sail-take foulies off-go to sleep. Although it seems easy there are many challenges along the way. Getting our gear on and off proves to be one of the hardest things to do. More than one member of the team has wiped out trying to get boots and clothes on and off. As I fall asleep to the sounds of the boat everything seems normal. Although I will sleep soundly, sleep will come and go as the boys on deck work through their watch. Somehow, it seems no matter how deep a sleep I am in I am still tuned into the boat and will wake up if something goes wrong. Lets hope it will be an uneventful and uninterrupted off-watch!
