2026 International Safety At Sea TWO-DAY (with Hands-On)
This course satisfies the requirements for World Sailing OSR 0,1,3 and SER requirements for the Newport to Bermuda Race, Trans Pac, etc. Every season the Oakcliff Team hosts Two Safety at Sea Seminars for Oakcliff Trainees and now opens it to the Public. There is no single training center quite like it with the Oakcliff campus, bunkhouse, and our US Sailing Moderator, Sheila McCurdy; this seminar provides the hands-on skills necessary to survive the unexpected. Our program and teaching goes beyond theory, putting you in the water and at the helm of emergency and survival equipment.
This Seminar is unique in each participant gets the chance to fire a flare, extinguish a fire, inflate their PFD, climb in and right a liferaft. The small class size relative to other seminars makes it highly engaging and a personalized experience for those who participate.
