Team members Chris Welch and Mark Towill recently flew to Real Club Nautico de Palma de Mallorca in Palma de Mallorca, Spain to compete in Melges 32 Worlds on Goombay Smash.
There are 29 boats competing. Tomorrow is the last day of racing and there is a one point difference between the first three boats: Goombay Smash (41), Samba Pa Ti (42) and Fantastica (42).
Chris Welch has been a long time crew member on Goombay Smash. We will be cheering for Goombay Smash tomorrow, but it would be amazing if either of the US teams (Goombay or Samba) became 2011 world champions.
