Oh not so much…

Just removed a 900 pound Caterpillar Engine for a rebuild and measured the Ker 11.5 for an ORR certificate getting it ready to go to the Great Lakes to do the Mackinac Races and Harbor Springs Regatta.

Ladi is working with Caterpillar to remove and rebuild the engine. He already seems to have driving the crane on the boom truck with Ronnie and Vlad assisting. Kind of felt like a construction zone out at 3 South Street.
It was all good practice as often the America’s Cup and Volvo boats are picked up with a single point lift and a crane.

We also got the Ker 11.5 measured for ORR this system hearkens back to the old IOR days where we did the ‘tippy test’. All of the Oakcliff team now knows how this system works and I got to catch up with an old friend, measurer Whit Bachelor. Way back in the 80’s Whit and I measured a 50 footer called Leading Edge at 5am in the middle of a huge fish fly hatch.
